The eve was dark and quiet. The bastion still and silent as the various members of the red wolves all asleep within their beds, nary a sound being heard as Farenel lain within the same area she normally does, up in the rafters of the Main hall. Farenel sits and yawns a bit while bored, pulling her blade from the sheath behind her lower back as she looks into the blade at her reflection. Her white and red eyes twinkling in the dim torchlight within the reflection, that which shes learned to loathe over the years. Closing her eyes and shaking her head she would hear a familiar heartbeat moving toward her as she tilted her head to its location. She opens her eyes and looks down from her bannister, seeing Mala stride through in her usual tight dress. She sees the woman she has the utmost respect for, One who saw past her monstrous visage and her utility and took her under her wing as an equal, as her daughter. She watches as the golden skinned Chimer looks around the room, searching for something or someone rather.
Farenel would smirk, and expertly falls down to the floor behind her. Her bare feet land and she kneels behind her, saying “Did you need help, Mother?” Mala would smile and turns around, her golden eyes looking over Farenel as she says “You know that you don’t need to kneel to me, Love.” This causes Farenel to clear her throat and say “O..oh yeah uhm.. Bad habit, I suppose.” She shakes her head, and says “Anyway what can I help you with?” Mala replies “Well, I actually think you would be the perfect person for a task I have. You still have your home in Auridon, Correct? If so, the company needs various books on how to train Pigeons since none of us have experience with it. I happen to know of a library there that has quite a few tomes and I would have you take them for us to use. No bloodshed as that’s just unnecessary paperwork and make sure you aren’t caught.” Farenel would quip back at her playfully “Am I ever caught? I mean, You don’t even notice me most times I’m within arms reach!” This would cause mala to giggle as she says “Point taken, But yes, are you up to the task?” Farenel replies once more, looking to the floor and thinking over logistics as she says “I do, stealing books from a library is similar to getting that document a while ago. I will take my leave then.” Farenel bows to mala slightly before she says “Any other info I should know of?” Mala shakes her head, and says “Other than the knowledge that I love you, and you better make damn sure you come back alive and well, No.” With that, Farenel would take her leave to prepare for the trip ahead.
Farenel ascends the steps into her room, unlocking the door as her Thrall bows to her, she says “Oh relax, I won’t be here long.” Shaking her head, it would grumble out, still in broken speech “Ys..Mstrs..” She idly pats his head and says “We will work on your speech, writing, and reading when I return, okay? Make sure you eat.” With that, she walks over to her closet and begins to don her armor, the Thrall helps her don her armor as she feels them zip up the back, She reaches down and zips the boots up from the ankle to the thigh as she picks out a couple daggers, putting four of them in their various sheathes. She would say “Keep the room tidy please, and make sure that my pets are fed.” The Thrall bows to her as she exits the room, putting her porcelain mask on and heads towards the stables. Once she arrives she sees her horse. The pure black warhorse was eating some hay before she climbs ontop of her saddle, darkened leather with golden skull adorn it before she whispers in it’s ear “To auridon, sweetheart. Lets ride.”
The trip to auridon was relatively uneventful, she intentionally waited outside the town for hours until the sun had set before she sneaked into the city, avoiding the guards gaze as she climbed up buildings to run on the roofs before she reached a different house than her own. She would pick the lock on the window and activates her Lyrezi invisibility, sneaking into the room before she sees a familiar Khajiit, she leans on a wall and speaks “Karaji. Long time no see, love.” Bowing her head and appearing before them. The Khajiit jumps and pulls his blade out before Farenel puts her hand up, she says “Calm. it’s just me, I need information about the library here, sections for the books. I’m looking to steal specific tomes, Believe it or not, about training pigeons of all things.” The Khajiits heartbeat going quick at first, but slowing down, he grumbles out “So your calling in favor for.. Pigeons?” Farenel would chuckle and crosses her arms, she says “So it seems. Come, let me see what you have. Take your blueprints and building plans and meet me at my home.” she bows her head and vanishes once more. Karaji lets out a sigh, he will never be used to that as he gathers his things and heads to Farenels home. She opens the door and closes her eyes, listening for any heartbeats that may have followed before quickly ushering him into her dining hall as he spreads blueprints of the library out on the table.
Farenel looks over the plans and says “What kind of security do they have at night.” Karaji raises his eyebrow and says “Farenel, this is a library, not a bank. Maybe a guard posted to walk around? Why are you planning to steal these, I can just go check the books out for you because of your.. Complexion.” She would turn to face him, squinting slightly as she says “That’s.. A good point, but then YOU would be hit with late fees, and we know these libraries love to nickel and dime the common folk. I won’t have you go into debt on my behalf.” He just kinda blinks, it’s only about five gold a month for the book rental, but she wants to do it this way and it will be done. He shrugs and says “The book you’re looking for will be on the second floor, top section, Try not to get spotted. It would be a rather unfortunate circumstance for you to die here for.. Pigeons.” Farenel smirked, her fang exposed as she says “Oh trust me, these pigeons are worth my life, they will be the best damn trained pigeons in all of Mundus.” She chuckles a like a mad genius, bit too excited considering what she was going to be stealing before clapping her hands together, saying “Well, we still have all night, I might as well get started.”
Karaji would just kinda watch as Farenel exits the house, grumbling to himself to go look in her kitchen for wine. Meanwhile Farenel would be arriving outside the library, scaling up the side she finds an entrance on the roof as she uses her blade to jimmy the lock on it, quietly popping the window open as she lands silently on the banisters. Her eyes and ears sharp as she listens for heartbeats. She senses one on the bottom floor as she begins to silently crawl around the top, moving the mask to cover her face. Her eyes follow the guard on the lower floor as she smirks. She crawls over it to the upper floors deck, and slowly climbs down from the ceiling, landing silently on the hardwood floor as she looks over the shelves, grumbling to herself as she reads the titles “Palico cats and their odd quirks.. No.. Pungent cheese and how to cook with it..” she blinks and slips that one into her bag for use later. She moves back having skipped the PI section. “Pittance for a poor lord..” she would continue to search as shes getting closer. “Pigeons and the art of training them.. The Pigeon masters guide, Pigeons and the history of use. How to train carrier pigeons, Pigeons, man and mers new best friend? got it!” she quietly exclaims before taking the four books and slipping them into her satchel, quickly climbing up the shelf to get back up to the bannister. Her eyes look down to the altmer guard on the lower floor, he is leaning on a table, clearly bored as all get out. She clicks her tongue and says “Well, poor him I suppose.” before she climbs out of the roof, and begins to climb down off the side of the library. She would eventually reach her home once more and says “And the successful book thief returns!” though not too loudly as she plants the books on the table. She looks to Karaji who was sitting on her nice chair, sipping wine as her servant bows to her. She says “Oh sithis, make yourself comfortable why don’tcha.” Karaji chuckles and says “You invited this one into your home, Is only fitting this one partakes of your libations, no? So you’ll be heading back to the castle? Is this ones debt repaid yet?” Farenel would tap her finger to her chin once more before she says “Two more favors, by my count. After all, taking a life is a big debt.” He nods quietly understanding, as she waves her hand and exits, heading back for bastion.
As Farenel would return, she enters Malas office and places the four books on the desk, saying “Four books, stolen and gone, all on training of pigeons. No one saw me enter or exit, though I did need to call in a fav-” Mala looks a bit confused at Farenel as she says “You didn’t just.. Check them out?” Farenel lets out an obviously forced sigh considering the lack of breathing as she says “They would expect late fees, Mother, LATE FEES.” shaking her head before her and mala both chuckle, Mala saying “Well, That’s one way to do it I suppose, Love. You did great, I’m proud of you.” a smile over the chimers face, her golden eyes squinted lovingly at her before she nods, saying “I’ll post this mission as completed then.”
